We took the plunge and re-did our bathroom last weekend. I have to say that I’m extremely happy with how it turned out.
Of course, we rent, so there were minimal things that we could re-do. No painting, etc.
First a few “before” pictures. . .
This is the bathroom before. We had a “dolphin” theme. It was TIME to get rid of that theme. Not that I hate dolphins now, we were just ready for a “grown up” looking bathroom.
This is the old, OLD shower curtain, it hasn’t been up for a while. These pictures were taking a LONG time ago, so I didn’t have any pictures with the new dolphin shower curtain.
The “after” pictures.
We picked the shower curtain first, and then went from there. This is the color/theme of the shower curtain. It is a very different color. Not green-ish, more blue-ish, but not a teal. . .it is hard to describe.
Looking in and to the left. We got those awesome circle mirrors at Target. I just love them!
You can see them better in this picture.
Looking in and towards the right.
Ric spotted that art-work at Kohl’s, and it matches perfectly.
Looking back out towards the front (yes, the bathroom is pretty small).
We didn’t want to go TOO overboard with the theme, so we just got the toothbrush holder and hand soap dispenser to match.
I am diggin’ the new hand-towel holder in oil rubbed bronze.
As well as the new light-switch plates.
Ric gets all the credit for finding this awesome trashcan, that matches awesomely too!
We also went with just the two matching hand-towels as well.
As well as the AWESOME rug. I love! š
There are still a LOT of things I would do different if we weren’t renting. Such as the ugly white towel rack that hangs behind the toilet. There is no getting that thing down. I would have painted at least one of the walls a brown-ish color also – an “accent wall” I guess they’re called. I would replace the toilet paper holder with a bronze one to match the towel rack holding the circle towels (in oil rubbed bronze).
I would LOVE to have a different sink as well, with these gems. š
Next up, the kitchen. . .
(Whenever the new kitchen table comes in that we ordered last weekend.)
I’m a big kid now . . .

It looks awesome! We bought some artwork for our bathroom at Kirkland’s yesterday, and now I’m trying to convince the hubby we need new accessories (toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, etc.). Our old ones are getting a little gross!

That looks so great!! Wow, I’m impressed your hubs even went for the trashcan.
I actually have that faucet in my kitchen – I’ll because I didn’t put it in, the previous owners did. It was one of the top things I loved!! I’m with you on adding more in our bathroom – one day when the budget allows š
Welcome to SITS!! Em
