Oh, oh – oh, oh, oh . . .

HANGIN’ TOUGH!!

(This was recorded by me, on my point & shoot.)
It makes me all “giggly” in side when I watch it. . .EVERY time! šŸ˜‰

(I know, I know. . .it’s about time I posted this.)

Monday, November 10, 2008, Mom, Leah (Sis) and I went to the New Kids on the Block concert.
That last time I saw these guys in concert was August 26, 1990. So, 18 years!!!
I was SO excited when I heard they were “back together”, and Leah and I were in front of the computer buying tickets to the concert THE minute they went on sale.

We met Mom at our meeting place (a town between the two of us, which is close to downtown STL also), had dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, and the headed to the concert. Y98 was handing out signs, so we HAD to get some!

Mom, Sis and I – showing Jordan our love!!!

I have always loved Jordan, even when I was 12. šŸ˜‰
I think I still have my Jordan doll somewhere at my parents’ house in my old room.
I also went to see him at a free Z107.7 concert back in [approx.] 1998 or 1999.
I may as well tell the story here again. While we were waiting to pull out of the parking lot, across from us was a huge white van with the driver flirting with us and telling us to follow him. NO thanks. . .we didn’t have a clue who he was. Right after the bus, and you could tell they were together, was a limo. We waved the limo to go ahead also, and Jordan pops his head out the window and waves at us. Of course, we started screaming like little girls, and of COURSE we followed it. They ended up at the Adam’s Mark downtown. We didn’t realize until later that the van and the limo were together and that they ended up at the same place, so we COULD HAVE hung out with Jordan that evening. Heck, I could be married to him AS WE SPEAK. (Haha – JUST kidding Ricky.) šŸ˜‰ TRUE story!!
Showing my “could be husband” some love.

The rest are just pictures from the concert.
I had my “good” camera there and my point and shoot. The website said that you weren’t allowed to bring in anything over 200mm. Well, the only other zoom I have is a 300mm. So, I left that one at home.

In the middle of the concert, they walked over towards the middle of the crowd and ended up on this spinning platform.

This was towards the end of the concert, after singing everyone’s fave, “Hangin’ Tough.”

Awwww, group hug!

These pictures are from my “good camera” with the “not-so-good zoom.” ha

AMAZINGLY they were pretty much as I remembered them from back then. They’re a little “older” now, but STILL have the moves!! I was excited that Jordan did his “I’ll Give It To You” song. That was the one that Sis and I were waiting for, and sure enough, he sang it TO US! šŸ˜€

I REALLY hope I don’t have to wait 18 years to see them again. . .

Looks like you had a blast! I’m amazed at the difference a camera can make–it makes me hate my little point and shoot. šŸ˜¦
